“Black Pearl” Pirate Ship
Have a day of fun and adventure on the high seas. The ship is based upon a traditional Spanish Galleon and as well as the chance for visitors to swim and snorkel, they are also treated to a Pirate Show with the crew all in traditional costume. The ship is a exact replica of Henry Morgan's 1645 ship. The two mast brig is 27 meters long, 7 meters wide. It can accommodate up to 70 passengers. Great for the whole family!
Butterfly Garden
Visit Roatan’s Butterfly Garden with approximately 200 butterflies and 20 different species, all native to Honduras. There are also a wide variety of exotic plants and tropical fruit trees surrounding the area. A camera is a must for this island experience.

Dining
Roatan has a variety of restaurants to enjoy. From very casual to romantic candlelight, open air, poolside, on the dock over the water, at the bar or in an intimate indoor setting. Satisfy your taste buds with traditional Honduran, American, Italian, Chinese or Thai. We have chefs from all around the world working hard to provide mouth-watering and attractive dishes to make your Roatan visit memorable. Be sure and have one of our local beers or try the island drink “Monkey Lala”.
Dolphin Dive
A 5-minute boat ride. This is a 45-minute dive at depths of up to 60'. The dives are unstructured and the curious dolphins are free to interact as they choose. Be sure and take your underwater camera. A videographer will also accompany you.
Dolphin Encounter
In a lagoon and into waist-deep water. This experience is with a trained staff member and a resident dolphin. It requires no swimming skills, and is ideal for small children, elderly, and does not require scuba or snorkeling gear. Provides great photo opportunities.
Dolphin Snorkel or Swim
Accompanied by a dolphin behaviorist and videographer, off a white-sand key in approximately 20 feet of water. Following a 25-minute beach encounter, the snorkel session begins, and lasts approximately 30 minutes, allowing participants maximum opportunities for physical contact and photos.
Fishing
Enjoy the excitement of fishing the beautiful waters of the Bay Islands. Wahoo, Yellow Fin Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Barracuda, Shark, Jack, Blue Marlin, White Marlin and Sail Fish are just some of the frequently found fish in our waters. Flats fishermen can also show you the art of catching Bonefish and Permit.
Galaxy Wave Ferry
The ferry provides service between Roatan and La Ceiba. The Galaxy Wave, is a 152 foot catamaran yacht, offering safety, convenience, and luxury. A concession area onboard offers snacks and refreshments. Onboard entertainment is available. Travel time port to port is only about one hour and ten minutes. Watch for schools of dolphins and occasional whales!
Glass Bottom Boat
The glass bottom boat is located in beautiful West Bay. See the variety of coral reef and view the amazing marine life in this Semi-Submersible. Great fun for the whole family.
Gumbalimba Park and Canopy
Gumbalimba Park is a one-day destination dream. Where you play can play with monkeys and parrots, tour the history of the island, ride a zip-line through the jungle canopy, explore the aquatic life while breathing underwater, kayak the picturesque reef, eat at a pool-side grill, and just hang out in a hammock or lounge chair on the beach!
Horse Back Riding
See the beauty of the island on horseback. Ride on the beach, thru tropical hills, valleys and jungle. You will see some of the most spectacular vistas nature has to offer. Enjoy riding early morning, mid-day, at sunset or if you're lucky during a full moon. Available for riders of all skill levels and ages.
Iguana Farm
The Iguana Farm is an original Roatan attraction. It is owned by a local family that keeps several hundred iguanas on their property in order to protect the rare species. Visit them for lunchtime when the iguanas are being fed, and enjoy taking pictures of these beautiful reptiles.
Massage/Spa
Treat yourself with a massage or choose from a variety of spa treatments. Many massage types are available, swedish, deep tissue, reflexology, aromatherapy or a mayan stone massage. Enjoy a facial, manicure or pedicure. Choose one or spend the day for the ultimate pampering.
Kayaking
Combine the relaxing atmosphere with exercise as you kayak through the mangroves or along the amazing coral reef that surrounds the island. Single and double kayaks are available with some rental properties.
Paddle Boat Rentals
A fun and easy way to exercise and enjoy the calm waters of West Bay Beach. You will love the beautiful views of the water, island and beach. Paddleboats accommodate 2 to 4 people.
R.I.M.S (Roatan Institute for Marine Sciences)
Learn about the study of tropical marine ecosystems and the bottlenose dolphins housed at the facility. There is also an artifact museum where you can learn about and see some Mayan and Payan artifacts. RIMS is a marine research & educational facility. Its primary objective is the preservation of Roatan’s natural resources.
Sailing
Sail, snorkel, swim or just lie about the deck on the beautiful, clear waters of Roatan. Enjoy a half-day, full day or catch a breath taking sunset sail.
Snorkeling
Experience first-hand the stunning aquatic beauty of the Mesoamerica Barrier Reef in the pristine waters off Roatan. Roughly 80 percent the marine life found in the Caribbean can be found in the waters surrounding the island. The Roatan coral reef system (protected within the Honduran National Marine Reserve) offers some of the best snorkeling in the Caribbean. Sea creatures that call this area home include dolphins, conch, grouper, snapper, bonefish, tarpon, permit, seahorses, wrasse blennies, sail fin blennies, octopus, eagle rays, nurse sharks and the gentle whale shark.
Stanley’s Submarine
For the real exployer! One of the the greatest underwater adventure's in the world. Idabel will take you deep into the unexplored Caymen Trench. illuminating depths down to 2,000 feet (610 meters) below the surface. Through the submarines large plexiglass viewing bubble you will see a wide variety of deep-sea animal life rarely encountered by humans.
Zip-lining
Experience the thrill from a bird’s eye view while flying through the air on a zip line. Relax, enjoy the ride and take some great pictures! Imagine yourself amongst the treetops over looking the beautiful jungle and vegetation of the island. |
